About Quantec

Quantec Trading Capital was launched in July 2023 with ambitions to grow into a world leader in the prop trading space. Being one of the only prop trading firms to be backed by venture capital, they were uniquely positioned in the market with a strong offer that would entice any aspiring trader to join their firm. The problem was, no one knew who they were.

Their product was designed as a challenge, whereby any aspiring traders who passed their challenge would unlock access to real funds to trade with. The market was global and the opportunity was a win-win scenario, as smart traders would be able to make more money trading with Quantec’s funds (while keeping 80% of the profit) and Quantec would discover smart traders that could generate ROI on their investors funds.

In the first 60 days we took their business from $200K per month to over 826K p.m with an average 9.3X ROAS. We increased new customers by 401% and hit their 6 month target of 500K in our first month of working together.

The Challenge.

Quantec had grown quickly through affiliate marketing but they had never run an ad and they knew that their competitors were scaling as they had 100’s of ads out in the market. The opportunity was clear, but they didn’t have the capabilities to map out an ads strategy and then design all of the creative required to reach their audience with an impactful message.

Strategy #1

3-2-2 Creative Testing Method

We had to get out of the gates fast and find winning creative in order to kick-start this campaign in the most profitable way. With no previous data in the account, we were starting from a clean slate so we introduced our 3-2-2 creative testing method and we saw instant results. 3 creatives, 2 primary text copies and 2 headlines setup in a dynamic creative testing ad and launched to a completely broad audience (no interests). We quickly spotted trends that helped us iterate in week 2 of the campaign and results improved further, allowing us to scale spends.

Strategy #2

Conversion Rate Optimisation

Once we started driving traffic to the site, we immediately noticed an enormous amount of people adding to the cart but not converting. Typical in e-commerce, however this case was unusual – in the first 2 weeks we had over $1m of revenue left abandoned in the cart. We ran a CRO audit on the website and identified tweaks to improve the checkout experience to win back more of that lost revenue. We found that removing outbound links from the checkout, consolidating fields, making crypto payments a secondary option to credit card and adding trust badges to the checkout flow combined were all key ingredients to driving strong conversion rate on the website.

Scaling Strategy

Being a brand new account, we were unable to scale it immediately as we had to prove to Meta that we were following their rules. We started small, and conversions were coming through, but then we bumped spends by 20% per day until we were scaling comfortably at 9.3X ROAS. We didn’t just scale vertically with spends, we also scaled horizontally with more creatives – this gave us more stability and helped us identify more winners that could handle large daily spends comfortably while maintaining ROAS.
