“We knew we had a revolutionary product, but finding the right team to take it to market was a challenge. After being burned by other agencies I’m glad that Defiant approached me when they did & the results speak for themselves”

About Boxabl
Boxabl is a revolutionary prefab construction company with a mission to lower the cost of home ownership with their modular home system. Their wildly innovative product has the potential to help solve our affordable housing and homelessness problems in cities around the world. Given the ever-increasing challenges of affordable housing and the concerning rise of homelessness, particularly in urban hubs across the globe, Boxabl’s solutions come as a beacon of hope. Each prefabricated box is 12.8 meters long by 5.7 meters wide and can be folded down, even when fully finished, to a 2.6 meter width. Bolted to Boxabl’s patented space-saving wheel technology, the packed units can be moved within US transport regulations. With this system, the company, founded by Paolo Tiramani of 500 Group, Inc., aims to bring assembly-line efficiency to the prefabricated housing construction industry.
The Mission.
Boxabl were looking to raise funds for their kick-starter campaign & had 3 months to achieve their target. At the time of meeting with them, they had generated some virality after being featured on Yahoo finance, however they had no paid media strategy to drive sales & generate revenue.
They had been working with an agency that was attempting to run ads for them but was carving up their money with little to no results, simply boosting posts of their 3D renders with engagement campaigns. What they needed was a rock-solid
paid media strategy that would be able to demonstrate clear ROI.
The Solution
With a very short window of opportunity, our approach needed to deliver results quicker than usual. We were able to leverage some of the virality that the Yahoo finance feature had given the brand with boosted posts that had incredible social proof.
We used the assets as our launch pad and drove traffic directly to the kickstarter page which had lots of urgency triggers and direct response copy that educated the potential investors on the product. Once we had some baseline data on the ad account, we began iterating on different copy angles to find winning data that informed our next tests and we continued on that process for the first 2 months.
By month 3, we had found our winning creatives and the founders of Boxabl were giving us the budget to scale on a daily basis until we reached their kickstarter revenue goal. By this stage, we had penetrated the USA, UAE and high GDP countries throughout Asia where we were seeing incredible ROI.
The campaign ended up delivering an overall 41.3x ROAS & generated 128 high-ticket purchases for Boxabl, far exceeding their initial targets. We reached over 27 million people globally and even Elon Musk invested into a Boxabl for himself!
